Overview

This one-day update covers best practice and technological advances in water management and safety.

By taking this course, candidates will be recognised by employers and the industry for keeping their technical knowledge of pool plant operation and water treatment up to date.

Candidates should take this course before their existing three-year NAtional Pool Plant Operators Certificate expires.

Whio is this course designed for?

Anyone who passed the National Pool Plant Operators Certificate within the last three years

Course content

The course will update knowledge across the following areas:

  • Management of pH and chlorine levels.
  • Use of UV
  • Health and safety update
  • Latest advances in technology and equipment
  • Bacteriological testing - what do the results mean?
  • Linking pool water treatment with source water
  • Energy management update
  • Differences in operation of spa, swimming, hydrotherapy pools

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed a National Pool Plant Operators Certificate course within the last three years

Assessment

There is no assessment for this course

On the day

The course will run from 09:30 to 16:00 unless otherwise advised

There will be one 45 minute lunch break at 12:30 and a 10 minute coffee break, morning and afternoon

Timings may be adjusted to suit local circumstances
