IOS National Spa Pool Operators Certificate



This PWTAG course for safe and hygienic spa pool operations leads to an industry recognised certificate following successful completion of a post-course assessment module.


This is a one-day course, which provides a detailed understanding of spa pool operation by examining sources of contamination of spa pool water and treatment processes for each of the component parts of the spa.

The course also explores water-testing protocols, interpreting results and promoting health and safety to protect both spa users and your reputation. 

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

One day course


At the end of the course, candidates complete a short work based assignment. Completed assignment to be returned within three weeks of the end of the course.

On the day

The course will run from 09:30 to 16:30 each day, unless otherwise advised

There will be one 45 minute lunch break at 12:30 each day and a 10 minute coffee break each morning and afternoon

Timings may be adjusted to suit local circumstances
