PALM Academy Small Pool Operators Certificate


Overview

The Physical Activity and Leisure Management Academy Small Pool Operators Certificate is a two day course which covers the requirements of the PWTAG Code of Practice, and the syllabus of the On-Site Designated Supervisor, with additional guidance on issues.

 

The course is endorsed by The Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers.

Who is the course designed for?

This course is suitable for anyone involved in pool plant operators in a small pool setting

Course content

  1. Legislation and responsbilities
  2. Water sources, pollution and pool cleanliness
  3. Mechanical processes
  4. Chemical processes
  5. Water testing standard and frequencies
  6. Chemical dosing equipment

Prerequisites

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification

P.A.L.M. is a training provider accredted by the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group

On the day

The course will run from 09:30 to 16:30 each day,unless otherwise advised

 

There will be one 45 minute lunch break at 12:30 each day and a 10 minute coffee break each morning and afternoon

 

Timings may be adjusted to suit local circumstances

The cost of this course is dependent on location and the number of candidates on the course
